Impressed by Backlund

Backlund impresses In reference to a letter recently published in the Woodinville Weekly (Sept. 23, 1996), Maxine Keesling is appalled by the anti-Backlund hit mailing.
She is apparently unaware that the AFL-CIO union pledged the allowable limit toward President Clinton's re-election and to finance an obvious nationwide smear campaign against certain targeted Republican incumbents.
An understatement is that the Democrats are not rejecting union help. After meeting Bill Backlund, I was impressed by his sincerity, sense of responsibility, and desire to do more than just help his friends.
