Volleyball

   WOODINVILLE crushed the Kangs 15-6, 15-10, 15-9. Junior Jenny Chong had 4 aces and 17 digs; junior Sara Warner posted 15 kills and 2 blocks; and sophomore Beth Groove had 6 kills and 3 digs.
   The Falcons beat Bellevue 16-14, 15-12, 10-15, 12-15, 15-9.

Boys Tennis

   WOODINVILLE crushed Eastlake 5-4 with wins in singles by senior Chris Yorks (3-6, 6-0, 7-6), senior Adam Ford (6-2, 6-1), and sophomore Sina Nazemi (6-3, 6-2). Doubles wins included Ford and Yorks (3-6, 6-3, 14-12), and Chris Ross and Craig Wolfe (6-2, 7-6, 11-9). The Falcons are 2-5 on the season.

Girls swimming

   Oct. 2: WOODINVILLE upended Lake Washington 97-89, with Falcon wins in six events. Sara Schmede took the 50 free (25.77) and the 100 breaststroke (1:11.55). Megan Dunlop took first in the 100 backstroke (1:06.93). Megan Ternowski won the 100 free (59.80). Stacy Rapp took first in diving (138.15). Schmede, Ternowski, Laura Warner, and Hillary Bingman combined to win the 200 free relay (1:51.51). The Falcons are 3-2 on the season and 1-0 in the division.

Boys Golf

   Sept. 30: WOODINVILLE topped Redmond 389-402 at Echo Falls Country Club. Sean Peterson had the low score for the Falcons, shooting a 72, followed by Mason Thompson's 74 and Griffin Frye's 79. Ryan Carlton and Aaron Stewart both shot 82 and Jeremy Taylor shot a 90.
   Oct. 1:WOODINVILLE brought back the win after a 398-398 tie, edging out Juanita last week when Mason Thompson birdied on the first hole of the sudden-death playoff. Medalist for the match was Aaron Stewart with 73, followed by Peterson's 74, Thompson's 85, Frye's 78, Carlton's 88, and Putz's 90.
   Oct. 2: The Falcons stung Lake Washington with their 378-393 win with Shawn Peterson shooting a 71, Mason Thompson a 72, Aaron Stewart a 72, Griffin Frye 77, Ryan Carlton 86, and Justin Putz 96. This was WOODINVILLE's third straight win in the week.
