Woodinville musician releases first CD

CD released Woodinville resident Christina Shehi, a pianist and composer, recently published and co-produced her first compact disc, Seasons of the Soul, a collection of 11 lyrical compositions, each one inspired by a place, person, event, or feeling in her life.
"My music appeals to a wide range of ages because it combines elements of contemporary piano, classical music, and jazz," Shehi said. "But it's a unique style that's all my own. People tell me they find it relaxing, yet intriguing."
Shehi holds bachelor's and master's degrees in music and has taught private piano students and music in the schools. She has also performed publicly.
She said publishing a CD was her ultimate goal, and when her husband's career brought the family to the Seattle area, she realized this was her chance to get into music publishing. "I thought, if I don't do this now, I never will," she said.
Shehi's CD and cassette will be available at the Christmas craft fair Nov. 2 at Woodmoor Elementary School and the craft show Nov. 7-9 at the Old Hollywood Schoolhouse. She is slated to perform at the Bellevue Barnes & Noble store Dec. 14 at 2 p.m.
