   Oct. 9: BOTHELL walloped Juanita 3-0 (15-4 , 15-1, 15-2). Jill Mumm had 12 kills and five assists; Jennae Krell, two kills and three blocks; Colleen Kerwin, two kills, one ace, and six digs; Jessie Woods posted two kills, three aces, and 20 assists; and Stephanie Speed had four kills and two aces.
   WOODINVILLE smashed Sammamish 3-0 (15-10, 15-7, 15-12) behind Jenny Chong, who posted two assists and 12 digs; Michelle McCarthy's three aces, six kills, 13 assists, and nine digs; and Sara Warner's six aces, eight kills, 11 digs, and two blocks.
   Oct. 11: BOTHELL again won in three over Bellevue, 15-1, 15-4, 15-1. Jill Mumm had seven kills, one block, three digs; Colleen Kerwin, four kills, two aces; Jennae Krell, four kills, three aces; Stephanie Speed, seven kills, three aces; Jackie McDonald, five aces; and Jessie Woods, 20 assists. Cougar volleyball is 5-2 on the season.

Boys Tennis

   WOODINVILLE fell to Lake Washington 0-9 (Oct. 8) and to Mercer Island 1-8 at WHS (Oct. 9), with Chris Yorks topping Clark Strauss (4-6, 7-6). The Falcons are 2-7 on the season.

Boys Golf

   In their fourth straight victory, WOODINVILLE toppled INGLEMOOR 385-401 on the par 70 course at Echo Falls. Medalists were Falcons Aaron Stewart and Sean Paterson, both shooting 75. Other scores: Griffin Frye 77, Mason Thompson 77, Ryan Carlton 81, and Jeremy Taylor 97.
   For the Vikings, Pete White shot a 76, Nick Niccom 78, Brian Flugsted 80, Jeff Hannett 86, Derek Roger 86, and Justin Mennow 81.
   WOODINVILLE's win assures a third-place finish in Kingco with a shot at second.
