Golf

   WOODINVILLE fell to Sammamish, 194-197. Weather turned it into a nine-hole match at Echo Falls (par 36) where Aaron Stewart was the medalist with a 36. Other Falcon scores: Mason Thompson (37), Sean Peterson (39), Ryan Carlton (41), and Griffin Frye (44). WHS finished 4-3 this year.

Volleyball

   BOTHELL blasted Bellevue 3-0 (15-1, 15-4, 15-1), with Jill Mumm posting seven kills, one block, and three digs; Colleen Kerwin, four kills and two aces; Jennae Krell, four kills and three aces; Stepehanie Speeds, seven kills and three aces; Jackie McDaniel, five aces; and Jessie Woods, 20 assists.
   Redmond topped WOODINVILLE 3-1 (3-15, 15-11, 15-11, 15-3). Michelle MacCarthy had two aces, 10 kills, and 15 assists; Erica Swanson had six aces and 19 assists; and Robynn Waterstrat posted one ace, three kills, and six digs.
   BOTHELL squashed Sammamish 3-0 (15-4, 15-10, 15-11). Cougar highlights include Jill Mumm's 10 kills, two aces, and 17 digs; Colleen Kerwin's four kills, one ace, and five assists; Bethany Walinta's four kills and two blocks; Stephanie Speed's five kills and seven digs; Jennae Krell's three kills and one block; and Jessie Woods's two kills and 28 assists. Bothell is 7-2 in the conference.
   BOTHELL beat Lake Washington 15-5, 15-0, 15-7. Stats: Mumm, two aces, two kills, five digs; Kerwin, three kills; Walinta, two kills, two aces; Speed, 8 kills, 3 aces; Jackie McDaniel, 5 kills, 2 aces; Woods, 1 kill, 3 aces, 22 assists.
   WOODINVILLE defeated Juanita 7-15, 15-6, 15-13, 12-15, 15-9. Warner had 17 kills, 3 aces, 3 blocks, and 19 digs; MacCarthy, 10 kills, 22 aces, and 2 assists.

Cross Country

   On October 10th, four undefeated girl's cross country teams squared off at Issaquah High School. At the completion of the 3-mile race, Newport High (10-0) remained undefeated scoring 40 points, Issaquah (9-1) placed second with 45 points, WOODINVILLE (8-2) finished 3rd with 48 points, and Eastlake (7-3) rounded out the field with 95 points.
   The top five Falcon runners were junior Krissy Mathers in 2nd place, followed by senior Becky Weinz in 5th, junior Alice Woolman in 7th, sophomore Shannon Gingell in 15th, and senior Laurel Koons in 19th.
   WOODINVILLE girls won the Northshore championship with 22 to INGLEMOOR'S 37 and BOTHELL's 74. Falcons placing: Mathers, 1st, 19.43; Weinz, 3rd, 19.51; Woolman, 4th, 20.56; Gingell, 5th, 21.04; and Koons, 9th, 21.46. Woodinville girls are 10-2, their best record ever.
   WOODINVILLE boys also won the Northshore meet: Falcons had 39 points, INGLEMOOR 45, BOTHELL 53. Top Falcon runners were Sean Murphy, 1st, 16.32; Brandon Roche, 3rd, 17.21; Jarod Sheeks, 6th, 17.33; and Brendan Dodge, 8th, 17.44. The boys finished at 8 and 4 on the season.
