Chamber luncheon: major league ballpark development
Charles V. "Tom" Gibbs, Vice Chair of the Board of Directors of the Washington State Major League Baseball Stadium Public Facilities District, will be the featured speaker at the Woodinville Chamber of Commerce monthly luncheon, Tuesday, November 12, at Columbia Winery in Woodinville.
Gibbs will give a presentation on the status of the new Pacific Northwest Major League Ballpark now being developed. The ballpark, when open, will seat about forty-five thousand people, have a retractable roof, natural turf, the old-fashioned charm of the historic ballparks, and the state-of-the-art amenities found in today's newest stadiums. Groundbreaking is scheduled for spring 1997 and Opening Day for Spring 1999.
The luncheon and general meeting begins at 11:30 a.m. at the Columbia Winery, 14030 NE 145th, Woodinville. Cost, $14 for members with advanced reservations and $18 at the door. RSVP to the Chamber office: 481-8300.
