Maltby Food Bank needs help
The Maltby Food Bank needs holiday help. Donations of holiday food items, food gift certificates, money to purchase perishable food, new toys, and gifts for seniors are being accepted Thursdays from 9 a.m.-5:30 p.m. Donations can also be dropped off at any time in the blue bin outside the food bank. Learn to pair wine and food
A wine appreciation class given by Bob Betz at Chateau Ste. Michelle Nov. 12, from 7 to 9 p.m., will explore the art of pairing wine and food. Class members will learn why some wine and food combinations work and others don't, sample specially prepared foods and wines, and learn the tehniques of matching food and wine before the holiday season. Flu shots to be available
Flu shots will be available through Visiting Nurse Services for seniors at the Redmond Senior Center Nov. 8. Cost is $10. Call 556-2314 to make an appointment.
