City of Bothell sells Walter's Feed Mill
BOTHELL--The City Council voted 5-2 recently to sell the historic Walter's Feed Mill to developers Buchan Developments and Grant Gillies.
The property, located at located at 200 East Riverside Drive, was sold for $245,000, with the stipulation that the city has until Nov. 10 to decide what pieces of the mill to remove from the property.
The council put the mill up for sale several months ago. Councilmember Wendy Brady and Mayor Pro Tem Debbie Treen voted against the $245,000 agreement.
Zoning for the 31,550-square-foot parcel is R-15 OP, allowing up to 15 units per acre in addition to office/professional uses. Prior to discussions, the city hired a consultant to photograph the site and building for historical preservation.
