Mayor's allegation called unfounded
Mayor Miller is entitled to his beliefs and opinions. It would be nice if he allowed those who have different beliefs and opinions to express them without being demeaned.
Quoting me in the Nov. 4, 1996 issue as saying that council meetings could be held in members' homes is unfounded. I have never, ever, made such a statement.
Although I was new to politics in 1992, I was not new to government and knew that all council meetings had to be open to the public. Since he will be unable to document that allegation, I presume that he will retract it.
I have on numerous occasions asked Mayor Miller for an opportunity to meet with him at his convenience to discuss our differences. He has said he would get back to me. I've been waiting.
