Woodinville student earns Eagle award

Flint and his Eagle Scout project at the Woodinville Cemetery.

Eagle Scout William "Flint" Jackson received his Eagle Scout award in a ceremony Oct. 27 at the Cottage Lake LDS Chapel. Starting as a Cub Scout at age eight, Flint has been an enthusiastic participant and leader in troop 525 for more than 10 years, serving as a den chief, senior patrol leader, and junior assistant scoutmaster.
   For his Eagle Scout project, Flint helped preserve the history of Woodinville by building and erecting a cemetery locator map at the Woodinville Historical Cemetery.
   Flint earned his letter at Woodinville High School in track and bowling. He is also an avid mountain biker and snowboarder and enjoys computer programming. Currently, he is attending the University of Washington.
