Obituary: Edie V. Tweed
A funeral service for Edie V. Tweed, 87, was held on Nov. 4 at Green's Redmond Funeral Home. Internment was held at Cedar Lawns Cemetery in Redmond. A Woodinville resident for forty years, she died in her home Nov. 2.
Born in Rotterdam, Holland, she moved to the U.S. when she was five with her parents and six older brothers and sisters. The family settled in Wisconsin, where she married and had five children. She then continued on to California where her last three children were born. In 1956, she moved with her husband and three youngest children to Woodinville.
During the years she spent here, she had been surrounded by her children, who lived within blocks of her. She continued to be a major influence in their lives and the lives of their children.
Her survivors include her two sons, Gene Schoffer of Auburn, California, and Bill Tweed of Liberty, Washington; three daughters, Lee Tompkins, Betty Wolf, and Elaine LaGrange, all of Woodinville; thirty grandchildren, thirty-one great grandchildren, and one great-great grandson.
