Woodinville rolling out new fire trucks

new fire truck

The Woodinville Fire District put the lettering on its two new $266,000 fire engines last week. After another $15,000 in hoses and equipment is added, one engine will be posted at Station 34 at Kingsgate, the other at Station 33 in the Bear Creek area. The engines are quieter, foregoing "jake-brakes" for transmission retarders, four-wheel anti-lock disk brakes, and a new pressure control system for the hoses. Battalion Chief Whipple was commended for taking initiative and putting the district's mission statement on the vehicles.
