McDonald's sponsors scholarship program
McDonald's is looking for oustanding high school juniors and seniors who demonstrate exceptional leadership, character, scholarship, and community service for the 1996 Black History Makers of Tomorrow (BHMOT) scholarship program.
An important criteria in selecting winning applications is an original 500-word essary written by the student titled, "How I Plan to Make an Impact on Black HIstory." A screening committee of community leaders reviews the essays and applications and selects three regional winners.
The deadline to turn in applications is Dec. 13, 1996. Winners will be recognized at their schools during February's Black History Month. To obtain applications, call Dan Miller at (206) 326-5107.
