Tomco and Anderson finalists for the National Football Foundation Hall of Fame
Brigham Tomco and Rodney Anderson, Woodinville seniors and Falcon Varsity Football players, were chosen as scholar athlete finalists by the King County Chapter of the National Football Foundation. Both Tomco and Anderson will be honored on December 8 at an annual brunch at the Westin Hotel.
Tomco, a 3.9 senior, is one of four finalists for the lineman award. Anderson, a 4.0 senior, is one of four finalist for the back award. Each, if selected, will receive a $1,000 scholarship from the Foundation. All finalists will receive tickets to attend the Seahawk-Buffalo game on December 8.
"It is quite an honor for two finalists to be chosen from the same school," said Dee Hawkes, President of the King County Chapter.
The King County Chapter of the Foundation was founded in 1965 to honor football scholar athletes.
The public is invited to attend the brunch honoring the athletes. Tickets are $20 each. Call Theldona Esko at (206) 364-8456 (evenings) for a reservation.
