A visit to Molbak's for the annual Poinsettia Festival has become a holiday tradition for many. The 55,000 live poinsettias featured in this year's show create a sea of holiday color punctuated by decorated Christmas trees, decorations, and music.
The 31 different varieties of poinsettias include traditional favorites Lilo Red, Angelica Pink, and Jingle Bells. New varieties include Maren, Salmon, Pale Pink, and Flirt.
Santa Claus will be at Molbak's Dec. 6 from 6 to 8 p.m. A professional photographer will be on hand to take pictures--or bring your own camera.
Upcoming holiday music includes the Bellevue Philharmonic Brass playing Dec. 20 from 6 to 8 p.m. Harpist Bronn Journey will perform Dec. 8 and 22 from 3 to 5 p.m. Hear strolling carolers, the Silverbells, Dec. 7, 14, and 21 from 4 to 6 p.m. The Spirit of Christmas Past, also carolers, will perform a concert Dec. 13 from 6 to 8 p.m. and stroll Dec. 15 from 3 to 5 p.m.
