Early snow blankets Northshore
With eight inches to a foot of snow covering Woodinville and surrounding communities last Tuesday, some residents, both young and old, used the time off from work and school to play and have fun.
Snows hit before traditional windstorm
Bucking tradition, the Northshore area skipped its traditional pre-Thanksgiving windstorm and opted for freezing temperatures and as much as nine inches of wet snow last Tuesday.
Fire crews help
Last Tuesday, Betty Behr's power was knocked out by the heavy snows, leaving her to care for her 96-year-old husband in the cold and dark. Betty, 83, called the Fire Department for help.
New jail sites on horizon in Snohomish County
Narrowing the field from 14 to four, Snohomish County Executive Bob Drewel has recommended that the environmental impact statement for a new jail not include the proposed site in the City of Snohomish.
