Northshore Center needs food, toys, donations

Multi-Service Center The Northshore branch of the Multi-Service Centers of North and East King County will dispense food and gifts to hundreds of low-income Northshore-area families beginning Dec. 19.
Unfortunately, the center has lost two of its biggest gift donors, who were responsibile for 2,000 to 3,500 gifts each year. This leaves the center desperately in need of gifts, said director Win Hogben.
"They were the source of 70 percent of toys and other gifts," Hogben said. "If the agency doesn't make up this loss, we won't be able to treat all our families to a nice holiday celebration, esecially the children."
Hogben is asking the community to make up the difference by donating new, unwrapped toys and other gifts to ensure that every family has a holiday worth remembering this year. Donations of food, gifts and cash may be dropped off from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday at the Northshore center, located at 18220 96th Ave. NE, adjacent to the Bothell Public Library.
