Horse lectures set for new year

Lecture Series The King County Executive Horse Council will sponsor a Tuesday Night Lecture Series in January and February from 7 to 9 p.m. at both the Woodinville and Redmond Fire Stations. Cost is a $5 donation for each lecture.
   Topics fat the Woodinville station include: Common Horse Health Problems, Jan. 14; Therapeutic Alternatives, Jan. 28; Basic Care and Expenses of the Horse, Feb. 11; and a guest lecturer to be announced Feb. 25.
   At the Redmond Fire Station, the series begins with A Look at Colic Jan. 7. Mud, Manure, and Pasture Management will be presented Jan. 21, followed by Mare and Foal Care Feb. 4, and The Geriatric Horse on Feb. 18.
   Proceeds from the series will benefit the Northwest Horse Rescue, the Horse foundation of Washington and the KCEHC. The series is available at a discount for advance reservations: eight lectures for $30. Send check to KCEHC; P.O. Box 2904; Woodinville, WA 98072.
