Help with Christmas dinner
The Salvation Army will serve Christmas dinner for 500 of Seattle's hungry and homeless people. Your help is needed to put food on the table. Turkeys, homemade pies, dinner rolls, breads, and cookies are needed at the William Booth Center.
The Salvation Army also needs fresh oranges and apples, frozen mixed vegetables, canned fruits and vegetables, butter, and coffee. Daypacks, gloves, sleeping bags, and winter coats will also be accepted and given to the homeless.
Donations may be delivered from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m., Dec. 23 and 24, to The Salvation Army William Booth Center, 811 Maynard Ave. S., Seattle.
Christmas dinner will be served from noon to 2 p.m., Wednesday, Dec. 25. For more information, call 621-0145.
