Libraries are great places to fight holiday boredom

holiday boredom The King County Library System's collection and new Internet access have area residents flocking to their nearest branch for web browsing, tapes and CDs, movies, magazines and newspapers, and, of course, a never-ending collection of books.
   The library will be closed Christmas Eve and Day (Dec. 24 and 25), will close at 5 p.m. Dec. 31, and is closed Jan. 1.

   "It was an interesting [development] process," said Don Julien, managing librarian at Woodinville. "The staff put in some time on it, and it took some time for review. Now that it's posted, we can begin to edit it and improve it."
   The King County Library System also offers a dial-up service at 382-2116.
