Free eye care from Vision USA
During January, uinsured low-income workers and their families who cannot afford eye care can benefit from Vision USA, an eye exam program now in its seventh consecutive year in Washington. Those wishing to apply for the program can obtain an application form by writing to Vision USA; 243 N. Lindbergh Blvd.; St. Louis, MO 63141. Completed forms must be postmarked by Jan. 25, 1997, according to Dr. Hall. Applicants will also be screened for eligibility by phone from January 2-31, 1997. The number to call is 1-800-766-4466.
SAD during wintertime?
Do the dark days of winter depress you? People who experience Winter Depression or Seasonal Affective Disorder, also known as SAD, are needed for a UW study comparing two forms of therapy using bright light. Participants will make eight visits to Harborview Medical Center and must not currently be taking antidepressant medicine. Call 731-2436.
