After suspicious behavior, traffic violations, and briefly evading police officers, a 28-year-old Seattle man was taken into custody on Dec. 14 at 5 p.m. for driving with a revoked license and possession of marijuana. Police found $5,700 in cash on the man in an athletic sock in batches of $500. Described as a "high impact offender," police said the circumstances and "extensive" criminal history fit the profile of a drug trafficker.
At 4 a.m. on Dec. 16 police responded to a commercial burglary in the 19500 block of 144th Avenue NE, where unknown suspects pried the front door of a business open. Upon arrival, officers found the lights of the business on and a pager propping the front door open. A computer and other missing items totaled $3,500 in losses.
Police responded to a suspected burglary late on Dec. 18 where $1,000 was found missing from a local restaurant after the night drop. Police are continuing their investigations.
