In its annual effort to bring attention to the plight of the homeless, members of the Woodinville High School ASB slept out overnight Dec.18 and 19 at Stock Market Foods. The goal was to gather warm clothes and blankets for the University District Youth Center. Cash donations were fowarded to the Northshore Multi-Service Center.
Near dusk Wednesday night, ASB Secretary Stacey Rapp shivered at the forecast: "Clear and really, really cold."
Rapp and President Keri Baker had successfully collected about 10 sacks of clothing so far and had put out cardboard boxes to sleep on. They were waiting to be joined by ASB members Rodney Anderson, Kurt Ahlstrand, and others.
"Look, I can already see my breath!" said Rapp as another bag of warm clothes was donated.
