Northshore PTA offers scholarships

scholarships The Northshore PTA Council is offering a scholarship opportunity to Northshore School District high school seniors to assist financially those who demonstrate the ability to balance and excel in both academic performance and school/community service.
   Four $500 scholarships will be given, one to each high school. To be eligible, students must graduate from Bothell, Inglemoor, Woodinville, or the Secondary Alternative School. The scholarship must be used within the academic year following graduation at an accredited two- or four-year college or university, or at an accredited vocational school.
   Applications will be available through each of the high school counseling offices or by request from Northshore PTA Council. Applicants should show a strong school/community service record, scholastic ability, and financial need. All applicants must submit the application, two letters of recommendation, and a 200-word (minimum) essay on "Benefits of Volunteering in the Community or Schools."
