Blood drives

   January is National Blood Donor Month. Dates and sites for scheduled blood drives in the area include Jan. 23 from 2 to 8 p.m. at the Lockwood Elementary School gym, 24118 Lockwood Road, Bothell. Woodinville blood drives are set for Jan. 22 from 9 a.m. to noon at Baldor Motors & Drive's parking area, 15000 Woodinville Redmond Rd. Another is scheduled for Jan. 22 from 1:30 to 4 p.m. at Chateau Ste. Michelle gravel parking lot, 1411 NE 145th. Another will be held Jan. 31 from 1:30 to 4 p.m. in the back parking lot at Apex PC Solutions, Inc., 20031 142nd Ave. NE.

Cheer clinic at W.H.S

   The Woodinville High School Cheer Clinic for students in grades 1-6 will be held Jan. 30 and 31 from 5 to 7:30 p.m. in the WHS cafeteria. Activities at the clinic will include learning cheers, crowd involvement chants, jumps and kicks, and a dance. Participants at the clinic will receive a T-shirt and pom-pom.
   Registration forms can be picked up at Woodinville High School, elementary schools, or Bigfoot Bagels. Cost of clinic is $20 pre-registration or $25 at the door. Call 489-6738.

Art group meets

   The East Side Association of Fine Arts invites interested persons to attend the group's Jan. 16th meeting from 9:30 a.m. to noon at Wilburton School, 12241 Main St. in Bellevue. Guest speaker at the meeting will be pastel artist Lois Silver. Call 881-8681.

Old-time dancing in Bothell

   The American Legion Post #127 in downtown Bothell will hold old-time dancing for the public Jan. 19 at 3 p.m. Happy Hans' Band will play music for fox-trots, waltzes, schottiches, polkas, and swing. Admission to the event is $6 for Polka Club members and $8 for non-members. Those under 21 are welome with parents. Call 481-7548.
