New police building would ensure residents' safety
The recent snowstorm reminds us of how fragile our homes and safety can be when up against nature's elements. It underlined for me the attention we must give to the safety of our 911 emergency system.
The Bothell Police Dept. houses the 911 system for the entire city. Currently, its location does not meet the federal standards to protect this sytem; we could be in peril in the event of a natural disaster. Building a Police Department to the specifications required would go a long way in ensuring our safety should such an event occur.
We have the opportunity to do something about this possible catastrophe. Think about all our safety when you cast your vote on Feb. 4th.
