Law firm opens

Ely & Bates

John Ely and Wes Bates.

   The law firm of Bates & Ely, PLLC has opened a new office in downtown Woodinville in Suite 102A of the Woodcreek Center at 13120 NE 177th Place. Both of the partners in the new firm have strong ties to the area.
   Wes Bates, has lived in Woodinville for over 17 years and is a graduate of Woodinville High School. He received his undergraduate degree from WSU and his law degree from Gonzaga School of Law. Bates practices in estate planning, business planning, employment issues, and copyright and trademark law.
   John C. Ely has been a resident of Snohomish for the past 8 years. He is a graduate of the UW and the Gonzaga School of Law. His practice includes estate planning, business planning, copyright and trademark law, and family law.

Development seminar

   Redmond Business and Professional Women's Club announces their second annual Individual Development Seminar, a daylong interactive program designed to strengthen women's business communication skills. The seminar will be held on Feb. 22, from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. at the Redmond Motor Inn. Cost is $40 for members paid before Feb. 1, and $50 for non-members paid before Feb. 1.
