Heart to heart workshop
In recognition of February as Heart Month, Valley General Hospital is offering a "Heart-to-Heart Workshop" Feb. 1. Join dietitian Diane Zakrajsek, RD, for her class "Low-Fat Cooking in a High-Fat World"to learn how to make meals that taste good yet counter calories and fat. Also, learn how to minimize cardiac risk and recognize the sometimes subtle signs of a heart attack. Free Personal Health Assessments will be offered, as well as a free CPR review. Craft applications for the 1997 Marymoor Heritage Festival are now available. Items which will be considered for acceptance must be identified with a traditional craft and/or skill and handmade by the vendor. The three-day festival will be held July 4-6. Freedom from smoking

Zoo admission increase
As part of the 1997-98 budget process, the Seattle City Council has approved the following admission fee increase for Woodland Park Zoo: Adult (18-64) $8.00; Senior (65+) $6.25; Youth (6-17) and Disabled $5.50; Preschool (3-5) $3.25; Toddler (0-2) Free.
