   St. Michael's Music Academy announces the world premiere of a new string quartet, the Seattle Spring Quartet, performing works by Handel, Beethoven, Tetemann, Shostokovich, Turena, and Paganini. The quartet is composed of four Russian emigres: Yuriy Mikhlin, first violin; Laria Miropolsky, second violin; Miron Berlin, viola; and Mara Finkelstein, cello. They will perform Feb. 9, 7:30 p.m., 325 SE Darst St., Issaquah; tickets $10, seniors and students $5. Call 392-3216.

   The Bellevue Philharmonic Orchestra presents an evening of ballet music featuring excerpts from favorites Romeo and Juliet and Swan Lake by Prokofiev and Tchaikovsky. Also presented will be ballet music by Gounod and Glazuno. Former Pacific Northwest Ballet principal dancer Deborah Hadley will give a narrative on each ballet. The performances are on Feb. 4 and 6, 7:30 p.m., Westminster Chapel, 13646 NE 24th St., Bellevue.    The Pacific Northwest Ballet presents Coppélia from Feb. 4-8 and 13 at 7:30 p.m. and Feb. 8 at 2 p.m. Performances will be held at the Seattle Center Opera House. Tickets range from $14 to $65 and can be purchased by calling 292-ARTS.

   The Shoreline Arts Council presents Arts in Culture '97. On Mar. 1, Tuxedo Junction will be performed. The Brothers Four will appear on Apr. 3. The conclusion of the series will be with Felicia Dobbs, Dehner Franks, and the Shoreline Concert Band on May 1. All performances begin at 7:30 p.m. in the Shoreline Center Auditorium.
