Plunge of their lifetime

bungee couple

Arron "Dutch" Bihary and Brecky Wright.

"Goin' to the chapel, gonna get married..." Not for Brecky Wright and Dutch Bihary of Bothell. They are one of five couples who will exchange their wedding vows on Valentine's Day while bungeeing off the "Big Top" ride at the Stratosphere Hotel in Las Vegas.
Wright and Bihary were the first couple to be randomly selected in the contest. STAR 101.5 morning hosts Kent and Alan will broadcast the event live on Feb. 14 at 5:30 a.m.
All five couples will receive airfare on Southwest Airlines, three nights hotel accommodations at the Stratosphere Hotel, a wedding set from International Jewelers, plus a wedding atop the "Big Top" ride with a reception following the ceremony.
Wright and Bihary entered the contest because they were planning to get married sometime in the future and were looking for something different in a wedding.
"We're both fond of amusement park rides. We like thrills and excitement," says Wright. Her reaction to winning was a series of screams over the phone. Bihary was in shock initially and then according to Wright, he walked around the next day acting giddy.
The couple have been together since they met each other five years ago. Wright, who was born in Las Vegas and raised in Hawaii, is the office manager for Colbert Infrared Services in Redmond. Bihary, born and raised in Leavenworth, is a freelance artist who also specializes in comic book art.
Neither one has ever been bungee jumping, but they both are looking forward to the experience. They will be strapped into the ride and thrown off for a freefall sensation, only to be bounced back again for more of the same thing.
"I can't think of a more fun way to get married," Bihary said.
