Fire Board looking for CAC members
Citing the need for a more responsible and responsive citizen advisory group, the Woodinville Fire District adopted a new advisory structure some months ago and are asking for citizens within the district to step forward if they are interested in participating.
Man murdered in RV park
The body of a 44-year-old man was found in his home in the Lake Pleasant RV Park last Wednesday after concerned co-workers traveled from Redmond to see what was wrong.
Area agencies practice disaster management
When the big one hits, whether it be a monster snowstorm, an earthquake, or wind storms, Woodinville could arguably be the most prepared area in the state. Last week, representatives from several agencies participated in a mock snowstorm disaster.
Proposed law would make inaction criminal
The mother of the teen pushed to his death from the Bothell trestle brought her grief to Olympia recently, adding her voice to those who believe there should be criminal penalties for not helping a victim.
County still working on Herbfarm ordinance
A decision by the Metro-King County Council on an ordinance which would allow The Herbfarm to expand after being destroyed by fire last month was delayed last week at the request of the owners of the business. The council was scheduled to vote on the ordinance Feb. 3.
Woodinville man shot in parking lot
A 26-year-old man was driven to Evergreen Hospital by his girlfriend Friday afternoon after he was shot in the leg with a large caliber handgun in the Wells Wood housing authority complex near the Woodinville Park & Ride.
Speed limit comments due
The speed limit would be raised to 60mph on portions of several state highways under a proposal announced by the Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT).
