Speed limit comments due
The speed limit would be raised to 60mph on portions of several state highways under a proposal announced by the Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT).
Area roads affected by the proposal include U.S. Hwy. 2 between the State Route 204 interchange and Roosevelt Road in Monroe, and State Route 522 between the Interstate 405 and State Route 9 interchanges. The changes are scheduled to go into effect in April.
WSDOT is soliciting public comments on these proposed changes through Feb. 15.
