Astronaut touches down at Woodmoor

astronaut visits Woodmoor Elementary students orbiting astronaut Colonel Jerry Ross found out "You can't really whistle in a spacesuit." Ross, who has 23 hours of spacewalking, came to Woodmoor for an assembly after students there read 14,000 hours worth of material on space and other topics during a fundraiser. Part of the proceeds will bring the Pacific Science Center's "Space Odyssey" science van to the school in March, according to PTA secretary Kathy Charouhas.
