Blood donations needed

   Donate blood at Northshore Baptist Church in Bothell, 10301 NE 145th St., March 10 from 2-8 p.m.

Leprechaun golf benefit

   Forecaster's Public House at the Redhook Ale Brewery will introduce its new Irish Ale with an early St. Patrick's Day celebration March 2 at the brewery. Featured will be Wicker Pig, playing Irish music. Participants can play Leprechaun (miniature) golf from noon to 5 p.m. Cost for the event is $10 with the proceeds benefiting the Multi-Service Centers of North and East King County. Winemaker dinner set

   Silverlake Winery will hold its first Winemaker Dinner March 6 featuring Vina Restaurant and Wine Bar chef Lisa Becklund. A five-course meal will be paired with Silverlake wines. Cost of the dinner is $50 per person. For additional information, call 486-1900.

Horse Council to meet

   The annual meeting of the King County Executive Horse Council will be held March 19 from 7-9 p.m. at the Woodinville Library. Guest speaker Eric Nelson, King County's livestock representative,will discuss the Livestock Management Ordinance that goes into effect at the end of this year. For information, call 485-3452.

Literary Lions

   The King County Library System Foundation will hold its annual Literary Lions event March 9 from 6-9 p.m. at the Bellevue Library. Proceeds help support literacy and outreach programs. Call 684-6628.

Spring birding class at Marymoor

   Learn about the basic bird groups in our area and how to recognize them Feb. 28 from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at Clise Mansion in Marymoor Park. Participants will also learn how to use binoculars and spotting scopes for better views. Call 296-2964 to register: $2.00 per person or $5.00 per family.

Annual Rock Show in Redmond

   The East Kingco Rock Club, Inc. will present its 1997 Rock & Mineral Show free on Mar. 1 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Mar. 2 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Rose Hill Junior High, 13505 NE 75th St., Redmond. Featured will be demonstrations, dealers, refreshments, and a silent auction.
