   The Eastside Symphony presents a free concert conducted by Alexei Girah with works by Mozart, Bluck, and Tschaikowsky, March 8, 7:30 p.m., at the Bellevue Senior Center, 4063 148th Ave. NE. Call 868-7024.

   The Seattle Symphony presents Whistling Winds, its Discover Music V concert, at 2 p.m. and 3:15 p.m. on March 9 at the Eastlake Performing Arts Center, 400 228th Ave. NE, Redmond. It will also be presented March 8 at the Seattle Center Opera House. Admission is $10 adults, and $7 children, students, and seniors. Call 443-4747.

   The Washington Wind Symphony presents an American Salute concert, with classical and jazz flutist Jim Walker as the featured soloist, on March 10, 7:30 p.m., at the Meydenbauer Center in Bellevue. Admission is $10 general, $5 students. Call 827-2533.

   Xerxes is playing at the Seattle Opera House. True love gets rather complicated in this romantic comedy, but true love prevails. The last performance is March 5 at 7:30 p.m. Call 389-7676 or 800-426-1619 for tickets.

   Olympic Ballet Theatre presents Peter and the Wolf and Madeline and the Bad Hat at the Circus Mar. 8 at 2 p.m. at the Moore Theatre in Seattle. Tickets are $12 for adults; children under 10 are $8 . Call TicketMaster at 292-ARTS.

   The Shoreline Arts Council presents Arts in Culture '97. The Brothers Four will appear on Apr. 3. The conclusion of the series will be with Felicia Dobbs, Dehner Franks, and the Shoreline Concert Band on May 1. All performances begin at 7:30 p.m. in the Shoreline Center Auditorium.
