Blood drive notice

   A blood drive is planned for March 10, 2:00-8:00 p.m. in the worship lobby of the Northshore Baptist Church, 10301 NE 145th St. There will be a break from 4:00-4:45 p.m. For more information, call 1-800-DONATE-1.

Chess lovers to meet at library

   A chess enthusiasts' meeting will be held at the Woodinville Library on Wednesday, March 12 at 7:00 p.m. for players of all ages and of all skill levels. The purpose of the meeting will be to discuss the possibilities of arranging for drop-in play, chess tournaments, or other ideas to help those interested in chess in the Northshore area get together to play. East Ridge Elementary hosts safety program

   East Ridge Elementary PTA invites the community to an informative program on Tuesday, March 11, at 7:30 p.m. in the school's library. Rhonda McKim, Regional Vice President of Northshore PTA, will present "Safeguarding Your Children Against Violence." This program is aimed at promoting nurturing, safe environments at home, at school, and in the community. To achieve these environments, tips are provided to strengthen family commuication, manage conflict, avoid drug use, and deal with gang and media violence.
   East Ridge Elementary is located at 22150 NE 156th Place in Woodinville. "Safeguarding Your Children Against Violence" will follow the PTA's 7:00 p.m. business meeting.

WHS students win drawing

   Matthew Brobak and Rodney Anderson were winners in the Senior Class Party ticket drawing. The tickets can still be purchased for $110 for the June 13 party by sending a check with the student's name on it to Woodinville High School Senior Class Activities, in care of the high school.
