Bothell gets land for trail loop, affordable senior housing
The old Riverside Lumber site, across the street from the recently-demolished Walters Feed Mill and kitty-corner from the Northshore Senior Center, is slated for affordable senior housing later this year plus a trail loop to Blyth Park in 1999.
Fire Board target of recall
Three Woodinville Fire and Life Safety Commissioners are subjects of a recall effort that began several months ago, asking for the recall of Commissioners Dave Callon, Donald Leggett, and Ben May.
Taco Bell sign draws wrath of city commission
Saying the Taco Bell Corporation is not acting in the spirit of a good neighbor by erecting a "garish and jarring" sign, the city's Planning Commission penned a letter to the company Feb. 20 with a few choice words regarding the purple sign and bright lights.
State puts fish trap in slough
By now, many have noticed the floating shack in the Sammamish River, visible from Bothell Way just before the I-405 interchange. The structure is a floating fish trap designed to catch sockeye salmon spawned in tributaries last fall as they migrate downstream.
