Help replant trees, shrubs

replanting Residents interested in improving water quality and fish habitat along Bear Creek are needed to help replant native trees and shrubs March 8 at 9:00 a.m. at the Conrad Olson Farm in Redmond. Together with logs placed along the creekbanks last summer, the trees and shrubs will enhance habitat for salmon and wildlife, and reduce erosion, improving water quality.
Volunteers should wear old work clothes, gloves, and boots, and dress for the weather. If possible, volunteers are asked to bring planting tools and a wheelbarrow. The city and county will provide tools for those without. For driving directions, call Polly Freeman at 296-8359 or Kim Danner at 556-2822.
