Falcon sophomore swimming sensation Ryan Freeman made his first trip to state last week, advancing to the finals to finish 13th in state in the 100 backstroke, finishing in a time of 56.59 in the prelims and 56.63 in the consolation finals. His prelim time put him at 11th in state. Freeman also finished 17th in the 200 IM in a personal best time of 2:03.01 and served as an alternate if one of the top 16 had to withdraw.
According to Woodinville High Swim Coach Dwight Anderson, Freeman will likely make state times in the 100 butterfly next year, as well as the backstroke and 200 IM.
