Sign of the times
If the Taco Bell sign on 175th Street is "The Sign of the Times" to come for the City of Woodinville...
Brightens up downtown
I have never written a letter to the editor, but the Woodinville Weekly's recent article on the Taco Bell sign has prompted me to do so.
Remember when you were a teen
I, too, would like to comment on Brandon Schnierer's letter (Feb. 17). Brandon, every generation since the beginning of time has sworn every upcoming generation is going to rack and ruin.
A friend is gone, but not forgotten
It's been one year since the passing of 16-year-old Nathan Lines. But it's been a hard year for family and friends. Several of Nathan's friends turned out recently to pay their respects and let Nathan know that even though he's gone, he's not forgotten.
Passing rule saves lives
Woodinville-Duvall Road can be a very busy road, and although it is only two lanes wide, at no time is it legal to pass a car around the right side, even if you are impatient for the car in front of you to make a left-hand turn.
Woodinville contributing to buildable land shortage
The Feb. 17 issue disclosed the startling information that the City of Woodinville is considering calculating units per acre on what's left after subtracting the land needed for development requirements.
Turn the thing off
The recent showing of Schindler's List on prime time TV could be the first step down a slippery slope. I must say that I haven't figured out under what guise this movie was shown on regular TV.
More good things in Carnation
How many of you have noticed the new flagpole proudly flying a new flag at the corner of the Sno-Valley Center? The late Elbert Gould has been honored by his family with the presentation of the flagpole.
The meaning of community
Because of our fast-growing community, the Duvall King County Fire Department is in desperate need for you to think about how you can become a better "Duvall Community Member."
Appreciation for thoughtfulness
We, the family of Rocky Rush, would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who sent cards, flowers, food, etc., following her recent death. Also much appreciated were your phone calls, hugs, and your giving of time in many other areas.
