Grace parade

Last year's St. Patrick's Day Parade in Grace elicited an enthusiastic response from spectators along the parade route.

St. Patrick's Day Parade The Mystical Township of Grace will stage its fourth annual town meeting March 17 at the Maltby Cafe at 7 a.m., followed by its usually spirited St. Patrick's Day parade at 8:30 a.m. through downtown Grace on Highway 9.
Co-chairs of the parade this year are fire chief Ted Johns and police Chief Don Fitzpatrick, Jr. The honorary grand marshal will be Becky McIntosh, who purchased a year's citizenship in Grace at a 1996 charity auction. She will ride in the lead convertible with the mayor and town grand marshal Hugo B. Jonsen.
Glen Kelly and Gordie Green of Woodinville will serve as parade judges. Major attractions this year will be the Grace-Hounds, decked out in their St. Patrick's Day best, a (very) small marching choir, and an Irish sing-a-long. Also, the town will honor Hos Brothers construction for raising more than $15,000 to provide Christmas gifts for foster children.
