Basketball banquet

   The Woodinville boys basketball team held an awards banquet last week. Marques Tuiasosopo was named Most Valuable Player. Nate Lubetkin was presented with a Most Improved Player award. Rodney Anderson was given the Coaches Award and won honors for Scholastic Athlete.

40-plus baseball team

   Baseball players forty years of age and older are being sought to form a new team for the Woodinville franchise of the 28,000 member National Adult Baseball Association (NABA). Tentative plans are for a 14-game season with the new baseball field at Inglemoor High School as the home field. Games would be played Tuesday or Friday nights at 7 p.m. Away games would be at Bellevue and Mercer Island. Costs are $100 for balls and gear, jerseys and caps, umpires, and insurance.
