Evergreen project to help older adults
The Evergreen Care Network is taking part in a pilot project that provides support services for functionally impaired older adults. The project's goal is to provide needed services to older adults to enable them to remain safely in their own homes.
Services include, but are not limited to: home-delivered meals, short-term assistance with chores, adult day health services, minor home repair, dental care and assistive devices.
To qualify, a person must be 60 years of age or older, and a resident of King County living at home. Annual income must not exceed $23,220 annually for an individual, or $31,080 for a couple. Assets must not exceed $10,000 for one person, or $15,000 for a couple. Applicants must not be able to access these services through other funding sources. For details, call 899-5555.
