Exchange student scholarships
The AYUSA Study Abroad program provides American high school students the opportunity to live with a volunteer host family and attend high school abroad. Also, U.S. families may host an international student. For information, call 1-800-727-4540, ext. 503.
Drivers education hours increase
As of March 1, all students attending drivers education courses will be required to go through 30 hours of classroom training versus the current 25-hour standard. The new administrative code was signed in December of 1996 by the then-Superintendent of Public Schools, Judith Billings, in an effort to match a national standard.
