Inglemoor player selected

   Gretchen Olson, a junior at Inglemoor High School, has been named to the first Seattle Reign high school all-star basketball team. Selection for the honorary team was based on academic excellence, leadership skills, and community service.

Inglemoor tryouts

   Tryouts for Inglemoor girls select basketball for the 1997-98 season are April 8 and 10 at Inglemoor High. Propective 6th and 7th graders try out from 6-7:30 p.m. and 9th graders from 7:30 to 9 p.m. All girls who live in the Inglemoor service area are invited to attend. Co-ed T-Ball

   An 8-week Co-ed T-Ball program at the Northshore YMCA, introducing participants to the game of baseball, will be presented 6-7 p.m. on Tuesdays at Westhill Elementary or Northshore Jr. High or Wednesday at Northshore Jr. High for ages 4-5 and Thursdays for ages 6-7 at Westhill Elementary. Cost is $40 for facility members and $55 for program members. Each player will learn the basics of running, fielding, hitting, throwing, and team play while having fun. Volunteer coaches are also needed.

Masters championships

   The 1997 Washington State Masters Basketball Championships will be held April 5th and 6th in Sultan. Divisions include 35 and over, 40 and over, and 45 and over. For entry information, call RB Sports at (360) 795-0655.

Adult baseball league tryouts

   The Puget Sound Adult Baseball League (PSSBL) is having its annual tryouts at Graves Field at the UW March 29 and April 13 and at Lower Woodland Park April 6. Time for all is 9:30 a.m. For more information, call the PSSBL at 206-488-8881.
