Students and staff perform classic rock

   Mountlake Terrace High School and The Fabulous P-41's, a classical rock performance group comprised of staff and students, will present their "Good-As-It's-Gonna-Get-In-Our-Corner-Of-The-World" music concert on April 5 in the Mountlake Terrace High School gym from 8 p.m. to midnight. The school is located at 21801 44th Avenue West in Mountlake Terrace. Music for the event will include a variety of oldies played with a blues influence. Tickets are $5 before the event and $7 at the door. T-shirts will be on sale for $10. Call Daun Brown at 670-7311, ext. 5755.

Math Olympiad district winners

   Over 250 of Northshore's 5th and 6th grade students recently competed at the annual district-wide Math Olympiad. Fourteen of Northshore's 20 elementary schools had multiple teams competing in probability and statistics, mental math, geometry, and a potourri category. Among the sixth grade teams, the overall winners were: 1st place, Woodmoor Elementary; 2nd place, Shelton View; 3rd place, Woodin; 4th place, Lockwood. For the fifth graders, Shelton View took 1st place; Woodin was 2nd; Woodmoor took 3rd, and Hollywood Hills and Kenmore tied for 4th place.

DECA garage sale

   Students attending the national DECA conference in Anaheim will hold a garage sale April 5 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and April 6 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at 19324 194th Ave. NE in Reintree, Woodinville. Proceeds will help defray the trip's cost. Donations are appreciated. Call 489-6754.
