Ring Hill tower for emergency service

Ring Hill tower Regarding the tower controversy on Ring Hill: One letter referred to the tower as a cellular tower, and another complained about the aesthetic look of the tower in the area of nice expensive homes.
The primary purpose of the tower is to be used for radio coverage for fire and emergency use in the area. You know, it might just be one of your family members who need emergency medical care or the police department. The tower has to be put in an area where the coverage will be the greatest. Part of living in a community involves compromises for the greater good of society.
While a tower might not be the loveliest addition to a neighborhood, the county will do its best to disguise it and you will be glad it's there when one of your loved ones need emergency service.
