Benefit an overwhelming success
As a follow-up to the article in the April 7 edition, I would like to thank the community for its support in our endeavor. The benefit held at Leota Jr. High on April 12 for Linda Evans, a victim of a brain tumor, was an overwhelming success.
Our goal was to gain $10,000, but the grand total was $17,500, putting us well over the mark. We couldn't have done it without the help of the hundreds of wonderful people who appeared at the event and the businesses who donated their time and products. We are extremely thrilled to see the large response.
Linda Evans was touched by the level of involvement we received. She was thankful for the help and she also thanked our organization for putting it all together. The entire Evans family left that night with a huge smile.
So once again, thank you from Linda Evans, her family, and the Woodinville Explorers.
On behalf of the Woodinville Fire Fighters Explorers Post #144,
Rebecca Petrin, Woodinville
