Eighty banners with a springtime motif were recently raised on light posts around Woodinville. The cloth banners, decorated with red tulips poking out from white lattice on a field of green, are part of a project to enliven the downtown area with seasonal colors, according to Parks and Recreation Director Lane Youngblood.
The banners are a result of a partnership between the Woodinville City Council, Chamber of Commerce, and the Tourist Partnership. Youngblood said she hoped to have a custom Woodinville motif that would stay up from spring to fall. Currently, the city is building their supply of banners, according to Youngblood.
