Brittany Park office opens

   An information office has opened from 10 to 6 daily at the Brittany Park retirement community in downtown Woodinville. Floor plans, building schematics, and color boards will be available for viewing for the 147-studio, one- and two-bedroom apartment retirement community. It is expected to open this fall and is more than 45 percent complete.
   "We are very pleased with the progression of this project," said Rebecca Clark, general manager of Brittany Park. Assisted living services will also be available. New book to feature local woodworkers

   Local author and woodworker Bill Stankus is writing a new book on woodworking and he wants to feature the workshops of local craftspeople. The book will emphasize amateur and limited professional woodworking. He is seeking home workshops in garages, basements, spare rooms, and separate buildings. He is also looking for furniture makers, carvers, lathe turners, boat builders, refinishers, and musical instrument makers.

Free bicycle rodeo traininig

   The Cascade Bicycle Club is offering adults free training to teach safety skills to children at bicycle rodeos. Training workshops will be held May 10 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. in Auburn and May 31 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. in Seattle. The workshops are sponsored by a grant from the Central Region Emergency Medical Services and Trauma Care Council. Call 523-1952.

Hollywood Hill Saddle Club begins season

Evergreen seeks volunteers

   Evergreen Community Health Care is looking for volunteers to help the bereaved by offering emotional support through phone and home visits, group facilitation, or clerical assistance. Next training session begins June 2. Call 425-899-1077.
